CSFX is owned and operated by Carlos Savant. A movie buff from an early age, I find it very gratifying to create effects that people will see and admire for ages to come. I have been in the movie business since 2006, and look forward to a continuing career in this field. In 2008, I won Best Special Effects in the New Orleans 48 Hour film Festival for my contribution to "Grindhouse Day". The first of many awards to come in the near future.
My career goals include creating realistic prosthetics, and makeup effects. I enjoy using my imagination and creativity to bring my clients expectations into reality. My skills lie in sculpting, mold-making, life-casting, cosmetic makeup, blood effects, prop fabrication, and prosthetic applications. I am determined to constantly improve my techniques, while producing quality work.
